A lawsuit filed by William S. Wojcik on behalf of the family of Dominic Duran, a 14 year old high school freshman baseball player who collapsed during a practice and died 10 days later was featured on the CBS television affiliate WBBM-TV channel 2 news on Monday, April 3, 2006. The suit alleged that the Oak Lawn School District failed to use a readily available Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to resuscitate the student-athletic after he stopped breathing.
